At night I like to use mainly foam type poppers for Walleye. A few times I've tied mouse patterns like this and ended up giving them away.. so I thought I would make a few and keep them for myself. I only wish they would last longer.

With some inspiration from Simon at Pike Fly Fishing Articles I've decided to purchase some Finn Raccoon fur and get tying some more flies and have some fun putting a little more panache into my Pike selection.. yes I know they will be torn to shreds but it makes me feel a whole lot more proud to have a nice selection when the doubters with they're spin cast set-ups are out fished. Here where I'm from people look at me and shake in disapproval thinking that I'm trying to catch trout.. then I haul out Pike or Walleye and soon have an audience
